I’ll be working more on this site shortly (assuming my internet connection holds up) but suffice it to say I’m not happy with my Charter Internet service.
I’ve had 4 techs come out to the house and each one has done the same things:
- Check the signal
- Check the connections
- Check the modem
- Say they fixed the problem
Of course, they HAVEN’T actually fixed the problem despite all 4 of them finding a “smoking gun” that they were just sure was causing my problems.
The first tech said the issue was my modem & swapped it out.
The next said the signal was too high, and put in a splitter to bring the signal back within normal range.
The third tech said the signal was too low, and took out the splitter that the second tech had just put in.
The fourth tech said the issue was the connections. Apparently all the previous techs had given me short connections and when the temperature outside cooled off, the connections retracted giving me no connection.
I’ll let you all know what the next tech says cause I’m sure it will be something one of the previous techs did. Nevermind the fact that apparently Charter’s internet going out at night is NOT an isolated incident. Just a quick search of Twitter stirred up others who have this horrible nightly ritual with Charter.
So, I’ve decided to create CharterHell. We’re all here anyway, might as well enjoy each other’s company right?
